# Goods Trade Balance: release dates, results and history

Goods Trade Balance last printed -132.1B on Tue, Oct 6, 2026 against a -132.6B prior. The next release is Wednesday, October 28, 2026 at 8:30 AM ET. Captured live by Helious the moment it printed.

The advance goods balance is the first trade number to land in the quarter's GDP arithmetic, and it arrives about a week ahead of the full report. Tariff rounds have made it violent. Importers pull goods forward to beat a tariff, then stop once it bites, and that rush and payback have moved the gap by tens of billions inside a single month. GDP trackers get dragged along with it. The deficit runs near $100B a month, so the goods side of trade policy turns up here before anywhere else.

## The trend

The official published series at its current vintage, revisions included, so the newest point can differ from the number as first printed. The release-by-release history, with the consensus forecast and standard-deviation surprise on every row, comes through the [Helious API](https://helious.io/developers/).

## How it moves Treasuries

Bonds get no clean direction out of this one, same as the full report. A wider goods gap trims GDP tracking, which leans mildly bullish Treasuries. The move comes through the GDPNow revision, not the headline. See it scored live on the [Helious desk](https://helious.io/),
