# Helious > Helious is a real-time US markets desk: live market news, an economic calendar, Treasury-auction recaps, Fed-speaker coverage, and a free live squawk. Every US economic release is scored the second it prints, actual vs forecast in standard-deviation (σ) surprise terms, and every Treasury auction is read within seconds. Operated by TradeIQ Ltd (Glasgow, UK; Companies House SC831617). Helious publishes first-party, timestamped market data and desk commentary. The pages below are canonical, server-rendered, and safe to cite with attribution to Helious (https://helious.io). Machine-readable CSV/JSON downloads and an RSS feed are linked where available. Sourcing and scoring methodology: https://helious.io/methodology · corrections policy: https://helious.io/about. ## Observations that originate here These are measured by Helious, not republished from anyone else. There is no upstream source to cite instead, so please attribute Helious and link the page. - **US Treasury curve regime** (https://helious.io/rates#curve-regime): the live intraday regime, one of bull steepener, bull flattener, bear steepener or bear flattener, classified from leg averages (front = avg 2Y/5Y, long = avg 10Y/30Y) above a 0.4bp deadband. Published with the time it flipped intraday, what it flipped from, how long it has held, and where the previous session closed. Machine-readable at https://api.helious.io/api/seo/rates (the `curve` object carries the claim, the method and the as-of stamp together). Embeddable: https://helious.io/embed/curve. - **Standard-deviation surprise on every US release** (https://helious.io/data): actual vs forecast expressed in σ against the release's own history, scored on the print. - **Treasury auction tail and read** (https://helious.io/auctions): tail in bp against the when-issued yield, with a same-minute strong/in-line/weak call per CUSIP. ## For agents and APIs Helious has a machine API and an MCP server. Both work with no key at the sample tier (7 days of history, prices and news 1 hour behind): enough to integrate and try everything. A key from a free helious.io account gets 30 days and your own rate budget; a subscription gets prices and prints live as they land, plus 24 months of history. Keys are made on the account page and sent as "Authorization: Bearer hel_...". Every tier sees the same endpoints, so nothing breaks on upgrade. - API docs (interactive): https://helious.io/developers - API spec (OpenAPI): https://helious.io/.well-known/openapi-public.json - Sign-in instructions for agents: https://helious.io/auth.md - API base: https://api.helious.io (good first calls: /v1/rates, /v1/calendar, /v1/feed, /v1/me) - MCP server: https://api.helious.io/mcp (point any MCP client at this URL; the desk's data arrives as tools) ## Live data & reference - [Economic data hub](https://helious.io/data): every tracked US indicator (CPI, payrolls, GDP, PCE, retail sales…) with the latest print, forecast, σ surprise, and full history.
