Release Notes 25/07/26

HELIOUS DESK · ▲ 0 · Jul 25, 2026

We spent a lot of time on the parts of the terminal you touch every day: getting set up, finding the controls, and reading the screen without leaning in. Here is what shipped and how to use it.

Set up your desk in four questions

New accounts now open on a short wizard: your primary market, what you trade, what moves it, and how quiet you want the tape. It builds your news lens and points the momentum gauge at the right market before you see a single headline.

If you already have an account, we skipped you past it on purpose. Nobody gets interrupted mid session. To run it whenever you like, open Account, go to Preferences, and press "Re-run the setup wizard". The same wizard sits behind PROFILES in the news feed header.

A 60 second tour of the desk

A guided tour walks you through each widget and what its buttons actually do, one card at a time.

Press GUIDE in the header to start it. It runs once for new accounts, and you can skip or replay it any time.

Text sized for your screen

Text size is now on Auto by default. It reads your window and picks a comfortable size, from a 16 inch laptop up to a 4K monitor, then re-adapts when you resize.

Use the Aa button in the header. Auto is the default. Pick Compact through Max if you would rather set it yourself, and that choice is remembered on that browser.

Easier to read, easier to find

Body text is brighter and slightly larger across every widget, with a floor so nothing prints too small to read. In-widget tabs, like Treasuries and Equities on the gauge, or Highlight and Profiles on the feed, now look like buttons and carry a small gold dot until you have used them once.

A calmer calendar

The day strip has lost its coloured badges and dots. Day numbers are bigger, today always wears gold whether or not it is selected, and the event rows have room to breathe. Click a day for the detail, and use the Fed Speak tab for central bank appearances.

Feed and profiles

Each profile now remembers its own market, so switching profile switches the feed scoring and the momentum gauge together. The active profile shows as a compact gold marker instead of the oversized name pill, and the feed no longer shifts sideways as items arrive.

Open PROFILES in the feed header to switch, create, or edit a lens, and use the mute control on any row to drop a source or topic.

No stale prints when the bond market is shut

When cash Treasuries are closed we now freeze the intraday yield and curve moves and label the curve "Cash Treasuries closed", instead of showing a prior session number as though it were live.
