Setting Up the Terminal Around What You Trade
The terminal ships with everything switched on. A rates trader has no use for the crypto strip, and an FX trader may not want US sectors. So turn off what you don't watch. Stack the rest in whatever order suits you and drag the panels around until the screen looks right. All of it saves in your browser, and one button puts it back.
Which markets show, and in what order
At the top of the MARKET DATA panel are the LIVE and EOD tabs, and next to them a ▦ SECTIONS button. LIVE shows real-time quotes with freshness dots and EOD is the daily official reference table, but SECTIONS is the one that decides what appears at all. Click it and a checklist of all thirteen sections drops down: RATES, CURVE SPREADS, TSY FUTURES, TSY ETFs, CREDIT ETFs, VOLATILITY, EQUITIES, EQUITY FUTURES, GLOBAL EQUITIES, US SECTORS, COMMODITIES, FX and CRYPTO.
Untick the ones you don't trade and they go. Tick them again whenever you want them back. There is no save button; every change takes effect the moment you click, and it is remembered.
Clicking a section header collapses it to a single line (▸), and clicking again expands it (▾). That is for a market you want one click away rather than gone. To move a section, drag the ⠿ grip on the left of its header, so whatever you trade most ends up at the top. The curve theme banner does not move. It stays pinned above everything else, because it is the first thing worth reading in that panel.
Moving and resizing the panels
Five panels sit on the grid: MOMENTUM SCORE, NEWS FEED, ECONOMIC CALENDAR, MARKET DATA and ALERTS. Grab one by the ⠿ bar along its top and drop it on another. The target outlines in gold, and the two swap places. The thin splitter bars between panels resize them, so you can give the feed more width on a news day or the calendar more height on a data day. The ▼ button in a panel header minimises that panel to its title bar.
Hide a panel completely
The WIDGETS ▾ menu in the top header lists all five panels with a tick beside each one. Untick a panel and it disappears, and the panels left behind spread out into the space it was using. The button then shows a count, WIDGETS 4/5 for example, so you can tell a missing panel is switched off rather than broken.
RESET LAYOUT puts the default back
You can move things around as much as you like, because your browser keeps whatever you end up with and hands it back on your next visit. If you make a mess of it, open the WIDGETS ▾ menu in the top header and click RESET LAYOUT at the foot of it. The lot clears in one click and the default arrangement comes back. That covers positions, sizes, minimised panels and hidden widgets.
On a phone
Below 768px the terminal is a different thing. It becomes a tabbed app built around the feed, which is always on, and the + WIDGETS button on the bottom bar adds MARKETS, CALENDAR, ALERTS or SCORE as extra tabs.
