The squawk is a live voice channel running on your desk. Someone calls the prints, the headlines and the flow out loud the moment they hit, so you can keep your eyes on the board and still catch what's breaking. It comes with the paid Helious tier.

The squawk lives on the live [desk](/). Arm it from the squawk control and the audio starts streaming in real time. Toggle it off when you want quiet again. Playback runs per session.

Why the audio gets cleaned first
Raw squawk audio carries a lot more than the voice. There is room noise behind it, background chatter, and levels that swing from one call to the next, and a full session of that wears you down. Helious runs the stream through an AI noise-cleanse before it reaches you, so the voice sits forward and the background falls back. You should be able to leave it running all day.
What you hear on it
The squawk calls whatever the [feed](/) treats as market-moving. Breaking headlines and economic prints go out as they cross, and a Fed speaker gets flagged the moment they start talking. You also get the flow color, which doesn't always make it into a written item fast enough to be worth much.
You'll often hear something before you could have read it. Once you know it landed, go to the [feed](/) for the written item, or the release breakdowns and the rates board for the detail.
Where it helps most
Run the squawk alongside the desk, not in place of it. It's the early warning. The feed's impact filter and the release breakdowns are what you actually read once you know something has happened.
