Atlanta Fed GDPNow last printed an unpublished figure on Tue, Aug 18, 2026. Published by Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, captured live by Helious.
GDPNow is the market's running scoreboard for the current quarter: a pure model estimate rebuilt after each data input, no judgment overlay. Desks quote it as shorthand for the growth picture, and sharp revisions (especially early-quarter swings) make headlines and move risk sentiment. It's noisy early in the quarter and converges as data fills in.
A big downward GDPNow revision feeds the growth-scare bid in Treasuries; upward lurches lean bearish. It amplifies whatever the underlying data release already did rather than acting as a standalone shock. See it scored live on the Helious desk, or read how the σ surprise is computed.
